Today, let’s focus on the Weyerhaeuser Framer Series™ Lumber we use to frame our custom homes.
We use a Yellow Pine lumber from Weyerhaeuser’s Framer Series™ that comes pre-crowned and pre-dried. These factors make the wood harden even more over time, as opposed to softening and warping. This lumber is specifically grown and cut for use as wall studs and floor joists in a home.
Weyerhaeuser’s Framer Series™ Lumber has been performance-tested for the past 10 years to ensure that the quality of the materials used will hold up over time. Weyerhaeuser’s product is even tested with their own patented grading system so they can be certain that every piece of lumber begins its journey perfectly straight and will stay straight over time. Additionally, Framer Series™ Lumber is coated with an anti-stain agent which gives the lumber sapstain and mold resistance.
So, what does all of this technical speak mean to you, the homeowner? This means that our custom built homes are built for longevity. Your newly built home is held to a higher standard than what is used by other homebuilders in Delaware and Maryland.
